Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC is searching for 1-2 candidates to join our client’s Compound Management Liquid Store team as a part-time permanent, entry level Laboratory Support Technician covering Night Shift and Weekends. The late shifts are Monday-Friday from 8pm-12am, and the preferred weekend shift is Sunday from 8am-4pm (weekend shift may be flexible). Depending on the applicant’s availability, all shifts may be covered by 1 position with 28 hours/week, or 2 positions with hours ranging from 12-16 hours/week. Candidates with either preference/availability are encouraged to apply. The job is located in Groton, CT and will pay between $17-19/hour based on experience and/or relevant skillset.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support for Hit ID Provisioning System (HIPS) sample handling services: Identify, locate, and pick HIPS Source Plates from temporary storage, centrifuge and load plates.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of consumables and other materials.
• Identify, locate, barcode, and prepare Destination Plates and other non-Source Plates required for HIPS.
• Initiate simple HIPS runs and troubleshoot.
• Keep accurate data entry of all support/service activities into the Incident Tracking Database.
• Carefully follow customer SOP’s, orders, and schedules

Job Requirements:

• HS diploma with an interest in laboratory science and 0-2 years’ laboratory experience. .
• Experience with liquid handling equipment (tip-based as well as non-tip based) and other laboratory automation systems is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, stay organized, and adhere to specific timelines and deadlines.
• The ability to work well with all team members, have a positive customer service focus, and be reliable are essential for the positions
